Rapidly Deployable Emergency Communications

The SIGS Rapidly Deployable Emergency Communications System (RDECS) is a modular, scalable, and flexible communications platform designed to enhance Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C3ISR) capabilities and to provide secure, wireless communications in support of distributed small unit operations. The RDECS system supports both unclassified and classified communications using satellite links and Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) equipment.
RDECS can be outsourced to Government and other users to enable rapid access to mission-critical applications in support of emergency response and Continuity of Operations (COOP) applications. RDECS can be used to facilitate user coordination and collaboration, and provide increased situational awareness and interoperability among military and civil authorities and first responders. The system can be easily installed at fixed locations or integrated into mobile command vehicles, and optionally powered by 100% renewable power sources.
The RDECS system provides on-demand services and interoperable converged communications capabilities and access to various Data applications (Email, Internet, Private networks), Video (Surveillance, Streaming, Conference) and Voice (VoIP, PSTN, RoIP). RDECS can also be upgraded to support full two-way Communications-on-the-Move (COTM) operations.
The RDECS platform supports standards-based DVB-S2/DVB-RCS technology and can be modified as required to support Department of Defense MIL-STDs, NATO STANAGs and tailored to meet individual and unique client needs.
